Free Resume Writer - Anyone Out There?
Looking for a free resume writer is like looking for a needle in a haystack. Reason being is that you'll have little or no chance of finding someone that will be willing to do it for free and do an excellent job.
If you do find a free resume writer, make sure they possess the necessary skills to create at least a decent resume. I say decent because you get what you don't pay for but it'll at least be somewhat of a good starting point.
Since you're not paying a dime for the service, don't expect it to be the best resume ever written. If you think about it, how many people will put forth a 110% effort knowing they were doing it for free?
Probably not a single person unless it's someone you know very well and have a good relationship with that wants you succeed. Other than that you shouldn't expect much more.
It's possible you might find people that are looking to provide a free resume writing service at a reduced rate. In this case, they're looking to get feedback and provide testimonials to build credibility.
With that said, if you know someone who's good at designing or critiquing resumes, then you've got a great resource to start with. If you don't know anyone that will help write your resume for free, I highly recommend you check out some of the popular job finder services out there (i.e. Career Builder, Monster, etc).
Their prices won't break the bank and it'll be a great investment in your future. Remember, taking shortcuts isn't the way to go when trying to land a great job.
