The resume on the other hand is a detailed account of the person's degrees and other achievements. Many a times the cover letter is drafted so strikingly well that the employer wants to visit the resume once. There are certain tips which if followed well can make a resume worth appreciating. These tips are given below:

. Objective: A resume should be drafted by keeping a focus on the particular job requirement. Therefore, the objective statement too should be written on the same lines. Such a statement should fall at the top of the resume and it should not be too long. The statement should mention the job position in it. A resume should not be more than two pages long. Of course, the length of the resume is solely dependent on the different jobs that the person has done before. In many cases the objective statement does not do any wonders. In such cases, if a person writes a small summary of his or her achievements and skills, this can turn out to be the attention grabber. The language used in the summary should be perfect and without any errors. This can also keep the employer interested in the details for a longer period of time.

. Reviewing the Resume: After the complete resume has been drafted, the applicant should read it once or, to get it read from any other professional or friend. A much better option other than this one is to make any hiring personnel read the resume. They are the right ones who can suggest certain recommendations to the document. Or any person who has reviewed resumes may help in making the document a better resume and worth selecting.

. Computer skills: In the present world knowledge of computers has become compulsory. It is considered as an added advantage for the applicant who is knowledgeable about computers. Those who apply for the position of an accountant, the basic knowledge of computers is a must. They have to be enough proficient in all the Microsoft programs such as excel. Any computer related course in accounting can be a positive point in the resume. The applicant should not unnecessarily boast about computer knowledge, if the applicant not completely acquainted with computer knowledge, this can be mentioned with authenticity. The applicant can make use of the computer terminologies which he or she is well versed with.
